From today I boycott BP and Sasol

April 2, 2012 in Sonder kategorie

Enough is enough.

From this day forward, BP and Sasol will not see my money or business again. It might be no worry to them now, but if we all do this, they will be forced to negotiate with government to get fuel prices to levels that support us all and the development of RSA. As it is now, these corporates coin it bigtime while ordinary people suffer for now reason.

As for electricity prices…it might not be that easy, but can we afford not to do anything and just accept this daylight robbery?

Blikskottel: Is gatvol and keelvol.

Why only BP and Sasol ? Why not also Caltex, Engen, Shell etc ?

  2. Blikskottel het gesê op April 2, 2012

By targeting one or two suppliers the whole thing becomes easier. Remember we still need to operate.

Maak so en laat weet al jou pelle.

I’m just not sure how that is supposed to work – I stop using two suppliers but continue buying the product from other suppliers ? Surely the first two would then rather spend time and effort wooing me back to regain market share than running to put pressue on the government ? The market has not gotten any smaller therefore they will assume there is something wrong with the way they are offering the prouct rather than the product and its regulated price ?

    Net so. (@ Czardas)

  8. Don’t Shell and Total also charge more from Wednesday? The only thing that will help you is a bicycle . . .

  9. Blikskottel het gesê op April 2, 2012

You clearly miss my point. We all have to still use petrol, but to target one supplier can be done and that one will soon do something to survive and that will b to our benefit.

  10. Blikskottel het gesê op April 2, 2012

Dis jou keuse, maar op die lange duur gaan jou buurman ook niks omgee of jy ondergaan of nie.

  11. Blikskottel het gesê op April 2, 2012

They will have no choice but to appeal to government or face huge losses.

  12. Blikskottel het gesê op April 2, 2012

Hulle is alger vol kak dis so, maar as ons een target sal hy so seer kry dat hy iets moet doen om die saak te verander. Dis so eenvoudig…of on sgaan net elke dag verder opgeneuk word. Kies jou battles terwyl jy kan…

  13. The ones that we do not boycott will be more than happy and will encourage the government to take even more taxes and levies.

  14. czardas het gesê op April 3, 2012

    Whoosh…..!!

  15. Blikskottel het gesê op April 3, 2012

You are wrong, as they will be next in line after the first target falls.

  17. I wonder where I’ve heard this argument before.
